- The Effects of trigonella foenum gracum/ seeds content in this formula on glucose uptake and utilization have been noted in peripheral tissues (Sharma, 1986) and an antioxidant effect has also been described (Ravikumar & Anuradha, 1999).
- Trigonella foenum appears to exhibit a range of actions of potential benefit for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. the antidiabetic substances content in Trigonella foenum seed were evaluated for limiting the carbohydrate digestion and absorption (Bonner-Weir et al.).
- Soluble dietary fibre fraction of Trigonella foenum-seed improves glucose homeostasis in type 1 and type 2 diabetes by delaying carbohydrate digestion and absorption, and enhancing insulin action
