ingredients:

1. matricaria chamaemelun/ fruit.
2. artemesia absinthium/ plant.
3. cassia species/ leaf.
4. glycyrrhiza glabra/ roots.
5. rheum palmatum/ roots.


indications:

1. matricaria chamaemelun/ fruit: matricaria chamaemelun f. used internally for inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract associated with gastrointestinal spasms.
(viola- 1995)
- matricaria chamaemelun f. exerts anti- oxidant effects through inhibition of lipid peroxidation. (rekka- 1996). Chamomile also blocks chemical peroxidation for antioxidant and anti- inflammatory effects. (safayhi- 1994)
- anti- bacterial and anti- viral effects have been seen in vitro. (rucker et al, 1989)
- chamomile reduce the tendency to the infections. (PDR)
- anexiolytic effects: flavonoids are- CNS- active molecules and the chemical modifications of the flavone nucleus dramatically increase the anxiolytic potency(paladini- 1999), and this in turn shall be reflected positively on the intestine.
- apigenin and luteolin are ligand for the central benzodiazepine receptors exerting anxiolytic and slight sedative effects. (viola, 1995)
2. artemesia absinthium/ plant:
the cholagogic, digestive, appetite- stimulating effect, with high level of: amylase, lipase, bilirbin, has been observed during the 70 to 100 minutes after giving suspension of 20 ml.water via a duodenal probe. These properties indicate that this herb is a potent anti constipation effect.
3. cassia species/ leaf: used in over- the- counter laxatives, work by irritating the colon wall in safety mode, causing muscles to contract. (university of Maryland, medical center)
4. rheum palmatum/ roots:
the laxative effect and anti- absorptive properties of the anthranoids, this effect causes an increase in the volume of the intestinal content resulting in pressure and stimulation of intestinal peristalisis.
5. glycyrrhiza glabra/ roots: anti- inflammatory, anti- bacterial, anti- fungal, anti- ulcer properties. (cinatl et al, 2003)


administration:

middle spoon , or tea bag from the mixture to a glass of boiled water /capacity of 200 ml. ( boiled previously) then cover it for ten minutes, filter it and have it warm half an hour before the meal.
In therapy cases: 2-3 times daily.
Prophylactically: once daily.


useful combination:

if necessary you can share your treatment with the following products:
in case of intestinal gases use the mixture no. 7.
in case of colon disorders use the mixture no. 16.
